MANCHESTER UNITED INTERESTED IN SPURS STAR

English Premier League giants Manchester United have started drafting out their plans to sign a new midfirkder in the summer and they want to finalize those plans as soon as possible. This time, their hunt for a new midfield star has seen them turn to Tottenham Hotspur star striker Harry Kane. It is not the first time that United will be linked to the signing of the England international striker but they have not been able to convince Spurs to let go of their prized asset.

Kane almost signed for Manchester City last summer after he went public with his desire to leave Spurs, but with the London club refusing to listen to offers for their star man, he remained at the club instead and started the new season with the rest of the squad. Although Kane could still leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer, he may not be loving to Old Trafford. However, regardless of whether he signs for United or not, or whether United retain Ralf Ragnick or not, it is certain that the Red Devils will be signing a new striker in the summer.

This was confirmed by interim boss Ralf Rangnick on Friday, with the German admitting the club would look to sign a younger version of Edinson Cavani. Cavani is expected to leave Old Trafford at the end of the campaign. He wanted to leave a year ago but ended up renewing his contract following a strong end to the season. La Liga and a return to South America are both potential options for the 34-year-old, who missed Saturday’s match with Southampton due to injury.

Cristiano Ronaldo is also said to have an uncertain future at United. Though the Portugal international has done well since returning from Juventus, he’s not entirely happy with life at the Theatre of Dreams.
